Image 1 AF701. Image 2 * Image 3 * Image 4 Nubian bracelet PAIR --

AF112: Neolithic African beads handstrung by me with antique Tuareg solid coin silver beads, old excavated carnelian, Mother of Pearl, and an occasional glass trade bead. The other, gemmy green stone beads you see interspersed are British Columbian Jade. Another view. The granite stone -- How could they do it? Pressure and time. Origin, Mali. See the age. Example of museum quality beads. These Neolithic stone beads are generally found in the N.W. Sahara, and are 2,000-8,000 yrs. old, from the time before the area became a desert..

A word about wardrobe. These beads/necklaces look and feel great paired with natural fabrics. My personal choices are linen and hemp -- variegated, earthy colors like flax, chestnut, clay, bisque, beige, chocolate, khaki, sand, siennas, umbers, tans, soft yellows, olives, soft warm spring greens.

BAKE1: This is an authentic Bakelite bracelet in a marbled tomato red. Not African, but it's a nice accent to coral jewelry and other ethnic styles: great stacked with silver bangles, and protective, too. Perfect condition. $55.

AF018: Rashaida amulet pair -- high silver, width of each averages 2-1/8" $45.

AF224 ~ Ethiopian charm. Fascinating texture and soft patina in a mixed metal that contains a lot of Aluminum.. The conical pendant elements seem similar to hair ornaments from the Welo province, although this strikes me as more of a wedding ring or medicine-talisman type of item. 2-7/16" long.. $45. SOLD.

AF225 ~ Handmade beads from the Central Highlands of Ethiopia. Good silver..9mm bicones with several pendant drops. Strand is almost 8 inches long. $59. SOLD.
AF223 ~ REAL, old Tuareg earrings, made for Tuaregs! Mixed metal, very dense and work-hardened. Beautiful forging, chasing and engraving. Just an inch and 1/8", they are the ideal smaller size, suitable for 10 gauge piercings if you are tolerant to the metal.. Another view... $85. SOLD.

Nubian Bracelet: Reverse View Nicely patinaed. 2-1/4" inner diameter at the widest point, opening is 1-1/4".. SOLD, thank you!

AF300: Ethiopian coin silver beads. Handmade, high content silver, at least 80%. Old and wonderful, forged and fabricated, nice and heavy: they measure to over 13 inches of beads. They are versatile. Their soft white silver glow, age and character will add authenticity to your new stringing projects. $85 SOLD.
AF105: A new pair of Nigerian recycled glass bracelets in blue. Inner diam. 3" SOLD.

AF222: Vintage, authentic old, Maure silver ring. Wear it for Guedra... See page 223 in Africa Adorned. Size 9. $85. SOLD.

AF221: Gorgeous old Malian Sarakole ring. Size 9. $120. SOLD.

AF015: Two Fulani (Wodaabe) gri-gri necklaces: gloriously soft leather. Genuine ethnographica is treasured at the source. Close-up. Both SOLD.
AF101: Cowrie shells sewn onto goat skin. This is a newer African item, hand selected and perfect. Inner diameter is 2-1/2," slips on easily or tie it at a different size. SOLD.

AF104: Another wonderful Rashaida bracelet found in southern Egypt, from my collection. Perfect condition, including the hinge, and a great patina. Inner diameter 2-3/8". About 85% silver, with shot decorations, various wire work, and filigreed domes. $285. Ethiopian wedding rings, SELECT quality, coin silver, sure to please the most discriminating collector. One on the right has Amharic script engravings. $85. Sorry, all SOLD.

AF103: Tuareg knobby hinged bracelet, just like pic. p. 222 bottom center, Africa Adorned. It's 2-3/8" inner diameter, 3/4" wide, Tuareg coin silver, and in perfect condition... of course. One of the best things about it is the engraving on the knobs. Equally great is the fact there's no rattling or looseness of any component. $325. Also seen here: Tuareg bangle bracelet. $50. Sorry, all SOLD.

ETH005: Rare Ethiopian telsum pair -- choice, high silver, width of each averages 1-7/8" $45. SOLD.

AF116: This old, soulful ring from Mali has been affectionately worn: so much, the riveted areas and even surrounding areas have fused solidly. It's a beautiful and sturdy mass of silver in a flattened design with copper inlay. Traces of engraving are evident. SOLD.

MA1902: From Mauritania, Real Agate Khourb, used by the Guedra dancers as hair ornaments. Sorry, the khourb are SOLD out. Largest one is approx. .75" long --see p.221 Africa Adorned. (The bulbous shaped beads are real agate, available at $10. ea..) Prices on these seem to only go up... and the supply is extremely scarce... get them while you can.

AF114: Authentic Kwottenai Kanye earrings, handmade in West Africa! Traditionally worn by Fulani women... They are forged by hand from a bar of golden yellow brass, an amazing flange is created then twisted, then ornamented with notches. I have never been able to get my hands on a dowry pair made of gold! But the craftsmanship and design of these is identical, plus, affordable. The earwires have a gold plating. They are lightweight and easy to wear, and stunning! 1-3/4 inches front to back.. SOLD.

Prices do not include shipping.
