- -- Old Bedouin cones bracelet. Fantastic item, this was found in the Najd, but originated just East of the Tihama coast of the Red Sea, in the Sarawat Mts. of the Asir region. Tribes across this region include the Al Talid, Qahtan, Yam, Bani Mughaid, Bani Shihr, Ghamid, Zahran, Bani Saad, Bani Faham, Harith, and Bani Malik. It's been in my collection for a number of years and has been a real favorite of mine, not to mention extremely hard to get. It sits nicely (surprisingly comfortable) despite it's weight. The cones are not solid, but it's very sturdy. Age is at least 60 yrs.. It's a miracle of design, but the antithesis to filigree. I especially like things i don't have to worry about breaking. The cuff size is small enough to stay on securely and it will not twist around problematically. 60 to 80% silver. SOLD Thank you!.

YO113: This somewhat rustic amulet has a hidden hirz (scroll) attached below, and petite khamsas dangle under it. 4-3/8" long including the bails and dangles, and 2 inches wide at the top. $82. SOLD, Thank you!
YO110: This large dangle was originally a temporal ornament, part of a headdress, worn paired! So superb an example it must be seen and appreciated. Perhaps you can use it as a drapery tieback, or hang it from a ceiling fixture? Close-up. $95.
YO234: This necklace, (temporarily strung) could be classified as Omani, or possibly made in Yemen, but the disc pendants are thought to be one of the most antiquated Central Arabian designs. It comes complete with BABY PACIFIERS. One is a glass nub, the other is a piece of bone which has been chewed down some!! Great patina, no damage. The black glass beads are for fertility, and the red glass beads "for life force" are strictly what you find in Arabia, quite old, and definitely not the more common "Sherpa coral." I had to clarify that-- there is a difference!! 21 inches of beads, anything more would have been too much. Pic 2. SOLD, Thank you!
YO111: Dazzling Bedouin headbands: "Kaffat". The handwork in these is remarkable with woven, braided wire, and more. Mixed metals with a silver look, may contain some silver, parts up to 80%. Sorry both have SOLD, 17". Close view. Small is 10", SOLD. Mother wears one.... and so does daughter.
YO254 ~ A wonderful, newly made version of that ancient Central and South Arabian disc pendant. Sterling silver. Gorgeous detail. 2 inches long. View 2...View 3 . $32. SOLD, Thank you!
Syrian Ziggurats: Cast in an alloy of 50% Silver and 50% copper and given a thick Fine Silver plating, these antique bracelets, extremely rare, some say come from Libya. I have always thought of them as Syrian, and i think you would be convinced too, by seeing Kalter, Arts and Crafts of Syria, p. 91. These bracelets were made in Damascus in the late 1800's by Christian silversmiths: Catholics and Armenians. They are very old even though they look contemporary. Isn't that a beautiful example of the timelessness of great art. 2-1/4" inner diameter at the widest point, opening is 3/4". $335. for the pair. Just sold, thank you!
YO251 ~ South Arabian Ear wires /earrings. These are obviously missing their long heavy chains. But perhaps there is someone out there who values them as they are. Otherwise they are perfect! Fits an 8 gauge piercing. Mixed metals, fine granulation, bails at the bottom of both for you to add your own dangles! 3-1/4" long. only $19. SOLD, Thank you!
- YO235: Lightweight, sheet-wrapped and hammered silver beads called "Lalu fiddah" or SILVER PEARLS, are without doubt from Oman, and normally worn by young girls. Fantastic old patina. They are large and mildly flashy, but exactly give off a pearlescent quality which makes their name so perfectly apt. 10-1/2" of beads, average width is 7/8" $150. SOLD..
- YO040: Beads from South Arabia (the Hadramaut, actually) exhibiting characteristics of both Omani and Yemeni jewelry. Organic form! High silver. ( more pix!) $142. for the lot of 28 beads. SOLD.
YO237 ~ Here's a wonderful high karat gold ring. The face of the ring is a 1 Gr. pure (24 karat) gold ingot embossed with a profile of a beautiful woman holding a cornucopia. Gold bullion marked on the reverse, CREDIT JORDAN. The rest of the ring is 21 karat, tho it actually looks richer than 22k rings i have. Size 7. More views..... another...$135. SOLD.
- YO106: Highest grade silver bracelet from the Sultanate of Oman. Cones are raised all around and twisted wire forms the edges. Old piece in perfect condition, no damage. For a small hand or wrist -- inner diameter is 2-1/4" Old Omani silver is the hardest thing to find. The rarest of the rare. SOLD.
- YO220: Known as a "Palestinean" bracelet, this cuff style is handmade in heavy silver with Ottoman hallmarks/ imprints: a type found from Greece to Egypt but recognized as a regional style most often worn and identified as originating in the Sinai. Adjustable. SOLD.
