A242 ~ This is probably originally from Pakistan, quite old, an ornament for a nose ring. Reverse view. Alternative uses could be a great button end for a necklace design, or as a central pendant. Good silver, a true antique. Measures 1-1/2" wide. $85.

A308x8. Wonderful Tajik // Tadjik earring pair: High quality granulation in silver and a bit of gold // gilded sheet ornamentation. Inlay is a Lapis-blue resin, not stone, and probably a replacement. These are real antiques with a good patina. The silver would have come from melted-down rubles, the small traces of gold either came from the mountains of Afghanistan or extracted from the silt of the Zeruashan or Amu Darya and its tributaries. Earwires taper from 16 to 14 gauge. Thought to be from the workshops of Bukhara, these do share similarities with Kazakh design . Another View * 72mm from arch of earwire to bottom tip. $175.

Ap2 ~ Bukharan *Happy home* pendant. 2-1/2" wide. Has a nice rich feel. Jubilant turquoises, high silver, antique. $175.

Bokche: Intricately embroidered Koran pocket. Envelope shaped bag. Likely Yomud/Yomut Turkoman, rehabilitated in the 1950's from a 1930's or earlier child's decorative bib. Well preserved. About 9x 7.5 inches folded. Another view. $79.

Turkoman plaques1: Rectangles and squares. Approximately 54 grams. PIC2. What you see is exactly what you will get. Some silver content, but amount is unknown. $120.

and BACK pic, Tur105: Pure silk (Abr) ikat dress, CLOSE up. From Bukhara, about 1900. Across the back from one sleeve end to the other, is 68" and the length from neck to hem is 48" or 4 feet. Spacious, wearable. Newer commercial trim added to front seam and neckline, a nice color match. The lining was cut away from the inside before i acquired it, but that doesn't seem to negatively affect the structure of the dress. It's evenly balanced but hanging outside for the photo and with a light wind blowing... the shot is at an angle. Final Reduction to $235. was$300. Like she wears.....

A046: Repousse' cylindrical cases, a perfect PAIR. Unopened -- it might be possible to open them but i wouldn't try. These are often found on women's silver necklaces, or sewn on chapans. Further research suggests they might be from the Tadjik community of Samarkand, late 19th century. 3-3/8 inches long each. $75.

A245 ~ Here's another fine grouping of small round Turkoman plaques, made for sewing onto garments. Another view. Small percentage of silver content. What you see is exactly what you'll get. $115.

A246 ~ Antique Tajik coin silver fine chainwork earrings. Sterling hook earwires. Dangles are 1-3/4" long from bail thru dome to tips. $125. SOLD, Thank you!

A237 ~ This bracelet is probably 19th Century, from India, made of very pure silver. Worn to hold a collection of other bracelets, such as many ivory bangles, in place above the wrist. Inner diameter is 2 inches. Outer edge diameter is 3-1/4". Easy to wear because of the hinge! Elaborate, detailed, radiating design. Another pic. Only $95.! SOLD, Thank you!

A235: New Lapis ring, size 5. Round stone, vibrant blue color along with some calcite. $29. SOLD!

A243 ~ Premium quality Kuchi ring, the very best! Deep red glass stone. Another view. Size, 7-3/4. $50. SOLD, Thank you!

A244 ~ There is a slight bit of mystery to this ring, but i don't think you will mind. It's design is typical of the old Yemeni style wedding rings, yet it is set with turquoise and was found in an Asian antiquarian's shop. The stone could be from Tibet or further west into old Persia, it could also be possibly a stone from the Arabian peninsula, which is extremely rare. The patina / wear on this ring is absolutely gorgeous. Overall it's a great piece! Another view. Size 7. $85. SOLD, Thank you!

A113: New handmade belt, pure brass handmade round buckle, premium quality green pebbled nubuck garment leather: cloth lined, and authentic antique, high silver content Tekke Turkoman plaques with natural carnelian stones inset. Hand-set grommets. 43 inches long and nearly infinitely adjustable: wear it at the waist, hips, or anywhere in between. Great over dresses and chapans. $175. SOLD.

LapisRing3: A fine, old, Afghani ring i have been hoarding, even tho it doesn't fit me. You will love the ever-so-slightly domed, pure Royal Blue natural Lapis (probably antique) and high grade silver. Safe to say the size is between 10 and 11, currently wrapped with a silver spacer and yarn to fit a size 5. $125. SOLD.

Labradorite pendant: I have heard that the best, and rarest, examples should show a range of colors thru-out one stone. So, i used that as a guide when i picked this pendant out of a selection of about 200 from an Afghan trader many years ago. This one is nice and thick, showing gold, vivid blue and greens! Also known as Spectrilite? Spectralite? The Sterling setting is also very attractive. $95. SOLD.

South Asian Silver pendant: SOLD .

A111: Finest PAIR of antique Afghani bracelets you will ever see!! Kuchi styles will not come close to this quality. THESE are at least 70% silver, 100% perfectly sturdy yet light because of the open design, intricate beyond compare, and adaptable to several types of costume. An astonishing amount of work went into them. Has a spring-form design for a nice secure closure, and the closure pins are new sterling rods. Inner diameter is 2-1/2" Length is 4-3/8" on each. Origin, 19th century Baluchistan. $295. for the pair. SOLD.

A112: Very old Afghani necklace with coveted pink glass stones. Made and worn by Pashtun nomads. In perfect original state and condition. $115. SOLD.
A114: Very special two-sided Turkoman MILK bead, 1-1/8" wide, 1/4" thick not counting the firmly set and well-loved white glass stones. Picture shows both sides. Interesting note: The word "ak" in Kirghiz means not only "white," but it alludes to pure and honest, innocent or guiltless, true and right. The color is a symbol of purity, wisdom, and spirituality. The white camel, the white lamb, the white buffalo, the old man and old woman: all special. Even the white glint of the purest silver. The celestial, plant and animal signs seen in Asian artifacts are so ancient, we are still trying to re-discover their lost meanings. I have no doubt this item represents both the sun, and mother's milk. $48. SOLD.
A236 ~ Antique pendant of inscribed carnelian. From Iran, ie. Persian Islamic. The Quranic Sura makes this piece rare: a popular Shi'i (Shiite) supplication, invoking assistance/intervention from the First Imam, Ali ibn Abi Talib. Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib is historically recognized in the west as the "Third Righteous Caliph." The engraving is deep and quite beautiful on a hard natural agate, 4mm thick. It is secure in it's silver setting, and measures 1-7/8" wide by 1-1/2" long not including bail. I am unsure of the age but with a little more research, you might easily find it to be 17th or 18th century. Considering that these normally sell for several hundred dollars you might find the price attractive! SOLD. $120. I
Afghani LapisRing1: Richly hued natural stone, and just the right amount of pyrite sparklies without having any calcite. Set in sterling. New. There are as many types of Lapis as there are personalities of people in the world. If you collect coral you know how that applies to coral as well. Size 9.5. SOLD.
A241 ~ I estimate this bracelet to be from early-mid 20th century Iran, or 1940's - 50's, (Mohammad Reza Shah) tho it could be earlier. It's delicate, intricate miniature paintings are based on gorgeous, thick puffed slabs of mother of pearl, set in a high-quality silver window panel hinged mounting.. Measures 7-1/4" long. $135. SOLD.

Tur109: Ancient stone bead. Barrel shaped bead. Probably early historic Indian (ca. 500 B.C. to A.D. 500.) SOLD.

T025: Vintage Ersari Turkoman Kokenly Uzuk (also known as hand roses.) High silver, real carnelian stones -- graceful elegance. It's very hard to find complete sets with their original bracelet bands. The pair, SOLD.

T110: High silver Kazak amulet box with glass stone. Techniques of false granulation and tiny bits of real granulation. The piece is stuffed and sealed. Originally part of a large heavy ensemble called "Onirzhiek" which we can only imagine; it was worn on the chest. Authentic 19th century piece. 2-1/4" long. Aktyubinsk region. SOLD.
