- A Labor of Love
- Dedicated to living with art
- Working class roots
- Daughter of immigrants
- First generation to go to college
- Worked my way thru college
- Bachelor of Fine Arts degree earned with summa
cum laude honors: ranked 4th in the entire graduating class at graduation,
and voted by faculty the best all round student in the Art dept.
- Employed since 1983 as a medical photographer,
illustrator and graphic designer
- I don't have a trust fund, sugar daddy, or rich
partner to jet me around (like many of my competitors do)
- Lots of hands-on creative work experience, in
many media, including metalsmithing
The disclaimer section:
- Many ideas and goals for improving and reworking
the site aesthetically and technically will have to occur over time --
All web sites are works in progress
- I have never really gotten used to the copycats.
My concepts, writing, and sometimes even photos, can be seen within many
sad and poor imitations around the 'net. I am the original.
- I chose not to have children, because i thought
a woman can't do it all: have both a career and a family. I wanted to have
time to devote to art, yet, i still don't have enough time!!
Still more to read if you dare:
- I do my best to offer high quality, good taste,
and value for the price.
- Knowing the age, origins, meaning, or material
quality of various pieces is nice, and craft is important, but to me, the
power of good design supersedes any other factor in assessing real value.
- I do it all: importing and sourcing to web design,
some beading, and a lot of writing, photography, sales, service and fulfillment.
- I will continue to offer here the best items
i can, the truth as i know it, and a hope for harmony among cultures. We
are all connected!
